Promote Inter-Church Economic Projects


 Combine efforts with neighboring churches to promote community economic development..

   Goal: To improve the economic base of the community by working with other churches in joint, church based, ventures..

   Narrative: The congregation will network with other churches in the local community in joint economic development projects with the aim of improving the economic base of the membership population of local participating churches and its surrounding constituencies. Grants will be sought through public and private sources to acquire seed money for ventures. The church will provide seed money to help underwrite its share of joint venture projects shared with other churches.

    Resources needed: Economic Development Committee, Grant Writer.

    Resource Development: The church’s economic development committee will meet with leaders of surrounding churches for assistance in formulating venture possibilities.

    Implementation Goal: 2004

    2002, Meet with leaders of local churches to explore possibilities
    2003, Confirm venture projects, begin interchurch promotion
    2004, Begin first venture project

    Implementation Time Frame: Three years, February 2002 to October  2004.

    Estimated Actual Cost to Implement: $10,000 in prorated shared of seed money for joint venture projects. About $5,000 for prorated share for a grant writer.
