Modify Sunday School Program

Sunday School operation will be modified to increase effectiveness.

Goal: To expand the present Sunday School program to achieve maximum effectiveness..

Narrative:  The church’s Sunday School program will be restructured to encourage more classroom participation, attendance, and various instructional/teaching methods. Instructors will be required to attend divisional advance preparation sessions (teacher’s meetings). Classes will be assigned at least two teachers and a divisional secretary. Vacation bible school will be utilized as an outreach and attendance building vehicle for the regular Sunday School. Special bible study courses will be held in the Sunday School that will reflect the needs of the membership. Classroom instruction time will be increased to 50 minutes. Audio visuals, associated with each lesson, will be used. More emphasis will be placed upon transportation of youth and seniors to Sunday School sessions. There will be increased followup on absentee members.

Resources Needed:  Sunday School teachers, associate superintendents, Sunday School Committee, Bus Ministry Committee,

Resource Development:  Most of the staff needed for this large church department will be pulled from the congregation.  An in depth flow chart and duty assignment should be developed by the Sunday School Committee for the Sunday School to function properly.

2000, Recruit teachers, provide transportation, expand class time
2001, Promote divisional teacher’s meeting, VBS expanded promotion, Outreach efforts
