Strengthen Women's Ministry

Strengthen the ministry to Christian women.

   Goal: To help women understand and utilized the principles of Christianity in daily living.

   Narrative: The church will expand its women’s ministry to assist women in becoming better wives, mothers and Christian stewards.  The church will develop a “Worthy Woman” program in which women will strengthen themselves in the Christian life through a program of mentoring, fellowship, study and prayer. The church will help young wives learn the mechanics of family life in the context of marriage. It will also assist women who are heading households, as single adults, single parents, divorcees or widowed. The church will implement programs that will help young ladies learn the essentials of Christian womanhood through a mentoring program with more experienced women. The church will sponsor fellowship opportunities for women, to help them strengthen their Christian lives.

    Resources needed: Women’s Ministry Committee, Pastor, Deacons

    Resource Development: The church men’s ministry will sponsor workshops, classes and retreats to train ministry leaders.

    Implementation Goal: 2003

    2000, Expand Men’s Ministry, Formulate the “Worthy Woman” Ministry
    2001, Begin mentoring programs for youth and senior women
    2002, Women’s Retreats will expand to include women outside of the congregation
    2003, Year Long “Virtuous Woman” program, will focus on role of women in the family.

    Implementation Time Frame: Three years, February 2000 to October  2002.

    Estimated Actual Cost to Implement: $2,000 cost of films, retreats and materials
