Develop A Prenuptial Ministry
Expand the prenuptial ministry to include the practical rudiments of developing a Christian home.
Goal: To help each family learn practical applications of Christian principles in the operation of a Christian home.
Narrative: Couples beginning Christian families will be given counseling: 1) Finance and Time Management. The session will include: budgeting, handling finances, scheduling, and quality time planning, 2) Spiritual Growth. Couples will be shown how to develop a family devotion, and the importance of Christian Education. 3) Communications. Learning how to disagree, and the importance of respect and honesty, 4) Roles and Responsibilities. Understanding the roles of working and non-working spouses, children and child care concerns, 5) Goal Setting and Planning. Developing family goals, emergency and estate planning, college planning; and 6) Spiritual Counseling. This session will emphasize the importance of spirituality in the home.
Resources Needed: Pastor, Associate Ministers, Family Life Ministry, Grant Writer.
Resource Development: Membership training will include special leadership classes for persons who will work in the family ministry. Course work, seminars and workshops that provide training opportunities will be utilized. The services of a grant writer will be required
