Expand Youth Ministries
Expand the present ministry to youth to include all ages.
Goal: To develop a youth ministry that provides a planned program of ministry and activity that reaches youth from the cradle to young adult years.
Narrative:
The present youth program is activity
intensive, but is heavily weighted toward teens. The church will adjust
its youth program to minister to youth, preschool, elementary, Jr.
High and School, and college years. The youth department will plan
department wide theme, oriented, activities for all areas of youth work.
Leaders will be sought to co-ordinate each component of youth ministry.
Meetings of youth leaders will be held regularly to plan transportation
and other particulars that insure full involvement of all youth in the
total program. The church will establish a separate children's church with
a planned program of worship and operation. The church will sponsor athletic
teams that include basketball, baseball, as well as social activities designed
to encourage youth activity and development of Christian socialization
skills.

Resource Development: Youth leaders will be inserviced through participation in the church leadership program as well as workshops.

2000, Select Youth Leaders, plan first

Implementation Time Frame: Four years, February 2000 to December 2003.
Estimated Cost of Implementation: About $15,000 over four years, in additional to regular activities.
