Establish A Child Care Center

    Establish a Class A child care center for care of our young

    Goal: To establish a child care ministry, to provide Christian child care for member families and others.

    Narrative: As the number of families with children increases the need for Christian based child care will increase. The church will establish a full service child care ministry offering child care from the cradle through pre-school age. The center will be fully licensed and staffed, meeting professional standards. The first efforts may be limited to those that can be provided onsite at the present church facility. As the ministry expands, other facilities may be necessary unless they are provided for as a part of new facilities built or acquired by the congregation.

    Resources Needed: Child Care Ministry Committee, Pastor, Clerical.

    Resource Development: The congregation will use professional child care providers in the congregation to assist in the implementation details..

   Implementation Goal: 2009

   2000: Establishment of committee, decide nature of service delivery
   2001: Get specifications, legal requirements, designs, cost estimates
   2002: Secure site/Regulatory standards met
   2003: Implement first year child program,
   2006: Expand program
   2009: Program fully operative

   Implementation Time Frame: Ten years, January 2000 to December 2009

   Estimated Actual Cost to Implement: $10,000 for designs, specifications, incorporations, insurance; $100,000 to secure site, equipment, facilities over 10 years.
